Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily Hoodie

Sun shirts are great for hiking and so much more. This wasn’t my favorite sun shirt overall but it is my top choice when water is involved. The narrower fit and minimal stretch keep this shirt from ballooning out when wet. I like the Capilene Hoodie for water so much that I started wearing  at the pool instead of a swim shirt. It dries so quickly that I never get cold, which can be an issue with thicker fabric.

For me, my usual medium size was somewhat small, especially in the shoulders. This was good for wearing the shirt in water but not as comfortable for hiking. If you like the fabric but not the fit, women can size up or see how the men’s version fits. There is also a relaxed fit hoodie in men’s sizes.
